What we think:

FOOD AND DRINK FRANCE This is great book in so many ways; not only does it 'do what it says on the tin', but it does it in a very efficiently. The size on the book itself (11x17x1cm & 180g) means that it can be carried comfortably whilst still being substantial enough (at 160 pages) to accommodate a wide span of useful information. The cover is attractive and relevant and colour-coding at the corner of each page enables the book to be immediately opened at the appropriate section. Once inside, one can quickly locate, from the largely alphabetical layout, details of a specific food or drink, as required. This publication also lends itself to casual light reading during those few short moment of relative inactivity, be it simply waiting for friends, flight check-in or sitting in a business reception area. The internal layout reflects the cover, in so much as it is clear, clean and concise, with fonts that are easy on the eye. Whilst no sections are excessively extensive, enough information is put across. The whole is punctuated by just the right number of inspiring photographs and special tint boxes highlighting key information along with, as one would expect from the AA, albeit on a single page, a drivers' map of France.

All in all, especially when retailing at only £4.99, a really nice addition to one's travel essentials, be the journey for business, leisure or both!

Highly recommended. ISBN No. 978-0-7495-5986-1
